Advanced Practitioner – Occupational Therapist (Children)
Are you a, resourceful, creative qualified occupational therapist with 4 years post-graduate experience? The Children with Disabilities Occupational Therapy Team (SEND) are recruiting an Advanced Practitioner OT, a new role within the team offering opportunities to contribute to team development and an introduction to a management role whilst maintaining a clinical caseload of complex cases.
You will join a well-established, countywide team based in Sleaford, working closely with partner agencies to fulfil a commitment to children, young people and families, and consequently improve our service responses to requests for Occupational Therapy services providing positive outcomes for Service Users.
You will have the opportunity to add to your wide knowledge of Childhood disabilities and experience by developing specialist knowledge and skills working with children with disabilities who have complex needs (physical and challenging behaviours).
The successful applicant will have experience in Paediatrics, and in supporting children with complex needs through provision of specialist equipment and adaptations. A positive outlook, innovative problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills are essential in this role. You will also require good resource and time management skills, and be confident and highly motivated.
